　　1980年的西洋流行樂壇中，出現了一首同名單曲"9 To 5"，一首是Dolly Parton的"9 To 5"，另一首是Sheena Easten的"9 To 5"。

　　Dolly Parton的"9 To 5"收錄在專輯"9 to 5 Old Jobs"之中，作詞、譜曲、演唱皆由她個人一手包辦，並且也是1980年電影"Nine To Five"的同名主題曲，當年單曲發行後一舉拿下流行單曲榜、鄉村單曲榜以及成人抒情榜的三料冠軍，在Billboard流行單曲榜上一共獲得兩週冠軍，不過中間被Eddie Rabbitt的"I Love A Rainy Night"從中阻檔兩週，這種回鍋冠軍的單曲其實並不多見。

　　在歌曲獎項部分，"9 To 5"獲得Academy Award的"Best Song"提名和四項Grammy Award的提名，最後獲得了"Country Song of the Year"及"Female Country Vocal of the Year"兩個獎項，算是一首相當成功的流行勁曲。

　　而1980年在美國有了Dolly Parton的"9 To 5"，無獨有偶的在英國也出現了一首"9 To 5"，由Sheena Easten演唱，並收錄在專輯"Take My Time"中，一共拿下三週英國單曲榜冠軍，而在此時Sheena同樣也有一首單曲"Morden Girl"在英國單曲榜前十名的名單當中，這使她成為首位有兩首單曲同時挺進流行單曲榜前十名的女歌手。

　　隔年此曲在美國發行，並在5月份登上Billboard單曲榜兩週冠軍以及成人抒情榜冠軍，當時在北美發行為了要與Dolly的"9 To 5"做區分，Sheena的版本則把歌名改成"Morning Train（9 To 5）"，這首單曲前後在英美兩地掄元，成為Sheena Easten最紅也最為人知曉的國際性流行勁曲。

　　兩首歌雖然一樣都叫"9 To 5"，不過歌詞的內容卻很不一樣，Dolly的這首單曲是有關女性解放，與電影主題相互呼應，而Sheena的這首單曲卻是在描述一位女性整天在家等待她的男人下班回家的一段心情，是兩首截然不同的單曲。
