1992年發行的"The Best Things In Life Are Free"最早收錄在原聲帶"Mo Money"中， 由Janet Jackson和Luther Vandross一同演唱，在Billboard Hot 100的最佳名次為No. 10，當年也獲得了葛來美獎"Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals"這獎項的提名。
1995年在英國這首歌則再次重新混音發行，收錄在Janet Jackson的精選輯"Design of a Decade 1986/1996"的國際版裡；另外，在2006年時，Peter Andre和Katie Price有重唱過這首單曲，收錄在專輯"A Whole New World"中。
"The Best Things In Life Are Free"這單曲的版本相當多，兩次發行所收的混音更是多到讓人眼花撩亂，連非混音的92年原聲帶版本也和Janet精選輯中的版本不同，最早的原聲帶版本裡面多了Bell Biv Devoe的rap和Ralph Tresvant的口白，Janet的精選輯版本就全抽掉了。
這首輕快流暢的舞曲，主要是在宣揚愛的可貴，真愛是無法用金錢買到的，這個道理也許大家都知道，不過在現今越趨物質化的社會裡，"Money can buy everything."的觀念越來越深植於大家的心中，任何事物被價值化的情況多如牛毛不計其數，從MV中一開始的那一段帶點小諷刺的對白，女子脫口而出"Nothing in America is free."，其中背後的意義是否也代表著『金錢萬能』已在眾人心中成為一種偏頗的普世價值了呢？值得大家深思囉，廢話不多說了，大家聽聽歌吧！
